Marcum 3.17 Update out for LX 6/7/9

Just updated mine, went off without a hitch. Can't wait to try it out. Saw some guys online already complaining about how they have to set their sensitivity higher in order to read their lures now, apparently they can't read. More sensitivity settings were added to give you more ability to fine tune on the low end.

It looks like there are no new upgrades for the LX-9 yet but here is the link for future reference.

Whoops sorry to the LX-9 guys I saw the 6 and the 7 and assumed the 9 must be there as well. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

I'm always wary about doing updates on most electronics. I just bought the LX7 and it works great, but there are some issues with depths jumping around when fishing in 60-100ft. I think its hitting the lure or something.

I'm going out this weekend so I will let you know but from the reviews I've been reading the update is well worth it. It appears they have fixed the dynamic depth issues and have added a lot more ability to fine tune your gain.

Well I got two days of solid fishing in with my Marcum and I gotta say I'm impressed. Auto Depth and Dynamic Depth both work flawlessly now. My sensitivity went from 5-7 but thats to be expected with the wider range available. All in all, I'm super happy with it now.

JR Sens is your Gain. Same thing different terminology.
