The summer or 2011 at Calling I would find a pike about 12-25 pounds at least every week on shore with another literally 2/3rds is own size and weight down its throat. It happens naturally, but that year there was little to not bait fish, perch etc. so they were going for life or death. Eat or die.
Heck this last spring at a different lake I caught a 16 inch walleye on a 12 inch musky plug.

Sure is neat. Makes you wonder what swimming conditions would be like if they grew to 100-200 pounds.

Now I want to see evidence of a huge pike eating a tiny fly or something very small.

caught my 25 pounder first on a quarter ounce jig and 2 inch minnow this fall, as well as a 22 1/2 pounder couple winters ago on the same setup.

I watched a pike take 3 ducklings in a row before MaMa and the rest of the brood caught on. They are voracious feeders. As a boy on the French River in Ontario Dad and I where in the canoe having lunch. Finishing my beans I rinsed my spoon in the water and was hit by a Pike. Still have the scar on my pinky.
