Veradero, Cuba fishing charters

I'm going to Cuba next month and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on who to charter with for tarpon and/or baracuda.

i may be wrong, I think you have to book through the resort, there isn't a choice in charters. I was there in November and the marina sut down all charters, it was 380 bucks for the boat for 6 or 8 hours

I've been to Cuba few times and never chartered a boat for fishing. I was told by both tourist and locals that the area around Varadaro is heavily netted and the chance of targeting and catching a specific species is slim. That said, there is a lot of barracuda and you should be able to catch some, not sure if it's worth it though. I did catch Tarpon on the Hatiguanico River in Matanzas.
