Hey everyone.
Before I started this thread I did do a search on airbrush; only 5 threads had come up and nothing that helped me out.

I'm looking for a place/person to air brush a small phrase (2 words) into the side of a weatherby markV Deluxe rifle stock.
After the brushing is done, re-sealing is a must, whether this outfit does it or a different gunsmithing shop. The stock is a matte finish, not a high gloss! (This may be an issue....?)

If anyone has had any type of work similar to what I am looking for please let me know. I've been on the net all night and couldn't find anything close to Edmonton. Although one skilled man's talent in Utah caught my eye...
Something local would be best, and nothing as simple as a different color scheme. If you wouldn't mind PM'ing me pictures of what you have, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Joey

Not many artists will freehand lettering with an airbrush. Get some hyplar (plastic stencil material) from an art store, design letter shapes and size. airbrush on stock and seal. I did a "scale effect" on my sons electric guitar this way.

I do some airbrushing (mainly on fish taxidermy) I will submit some pics of finished fish tonight when I get home from work. I would follow the advice about stencils though. Talk soon.

Shane Baker at Baker Boyz Design is an airbrush artist located in Edmonton. Hes the one that taught me how to airbrush.
http://www.bakerboyz.net his website is currently being switched over so there arent many photos. Your best bet would be to go to his shop and view the gallery upstairs.

If it is only letters you want pinstripping may be what you want. Less prep work and you may not have to reseal your rifle because of the paints used. Oneshot paint is brush on, no need to seal. Shane also does that.

In all honosty, if your looking for letters that small then get it cut on a plotter or you will get rough edges.

Here is a shotgun I did for BBJ on here.
