Doing a perch hunt tomorrow on Burnstick. Wind will be too much down south. At least the tree line will block a little wind up there. Leaving Airdrie @0600. Have one fellow coming off another forum. One man flip style Clam and a Fatfish 949 stop by if you are out and about.

I'd love to join you guys but only have a RWD car, any room for an extra guy who chips in for gas? Also, I only know how to access from the campground on the south side, my buddy has a lot there. Where do you guys access and do you usually drive on, if there's not much snow I'd try it with my car but not the first time.

I am not sure about how much snow is on the lake. I am not driving up so not sure on room. But regardless if you came up in yours we can get you out on the ice with us no worries. Even if you leave yours on shore. We are meeting at the Tims by co-op in Airdrie @ 0600

You bet. Just let me know when you are free and we will head out. Going to do a trip up to BBJ's hood sometime this season as well. Spend two days fishing with the "northern folk"

Pretty sure I'll join you guys, I'm going back up north to work in 2 weeks and need to get my fishing fix before I go. I'll be bringing all my gear except a power auger, I'm sure someone will have one there I could use.

What do you suggest for bait as I'll have to pick some up today, I'm thinking maggots and trout worms but is there anything better?

Maggots and worms is all I bring. Some smelts if you are going to set up something for pike.

Pack some uncooked frozen shrimp from superstore. Perch up here love em! And if you bring a heater and a pie plate, you could cook up a few.
