buy some alpine ski wax and melt it on with a clothing iron. you tube the process and you'll be able to put on a sail and zip across the lake in the lightest of breeze!

I am thinking of a couple snow boards. Wax them up and I should as said above sail across the ice.

when the kids want a faster sled I spray armour all on it. I wouldn't use it on my truck but it is awesome for sleds.

I put UHMW on the bottom of mine. Is flexible enough to bend into shape easily and is bulletproof as far as wear resistance. I use it for dragging out game in hunting season as well

I use UHMW on my sled. I buy it from Johnston Industrial Plastics in Edmonton.

My main concern is wear. I've tried a number of options to reduce wear and I found UHMW worked the best for the price.

I have tried Nypon and Puckboard. Puckboard is almost the same thing as UHMW and the price is about the same. Nylon does work, but is much more expensive. Like over $400.00 for a 4x8 sheet of 1/8" Nylon as opposed to $68.00 for UHMW. That was the prices the last time I bought the stuff, about twenty years ago.
I'm sure it is much more today.
