I recently ordered a ground blind and treestand for both bow and rifle hunting.

I was just looking for some setup tips for both treestands and ground blinds maybe something that you didn't know but did/altered some FYI's and setup do's and dont's.

I purchased a climbing treestand and a hub style ground blind.

Oh and incase it makes a difference I intend to use these for Elk, Moose, WT Deer and Mule Deer.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

A bow holder mounted to the frame of the climber stand is a good thing to have. Mine is mounted on the upper (seat section armrest). Depending on the contruction of the stand it may be beneficial to put carpet on the lower section to cut down on foot movement noise. Buy lots of those rubber coated screw in hooks (69 cents at hardware stores) to hold your back pack, quiver, call etc. Once you have that all put in place it's time to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Must have a folding saw available in your back pack to saw limbs off the tree as you climb up.

Have a blind but have never used it...
