wanting to go hunt bears up by Whitecourt

hi everyone . i am planning on going up for spring bear by whitecourt and i know the bears are not out now but im wondering in previos year how was the bear activity? i have been up there once or twice but woud like to know what the bears are like around the month of May. maybe someone works close to there or somthing and sees them very often? again i know the re not out now im just wondering about previous years
