perch after dark?

iv'e had good success with pike and walleye after it gets dark and very poor success with trout after dark. what about perch and whitefish at night?

Perch usually shutdown/become inactive close to dark-active during daylight. Walleyes and other predators seek them out.
Not sure about whites. Suspect they are more active during the day too.
