Cool video, for some reason I thought that they did in animals a bit faster, that deer kept on fighting for a while. Makes one wonder how many cougars die taking down animals, it took a bit of abuse there for a while getting kicked.

So much for just taking the weak and sick, that buck looked pretty healthy to me.

One of the big male cougars in the Cypress Hills was killed by an elk in the Reesor Lake area a few years back. I talked with the vet (the late Bob Fisher) who helped with the necropsy. A number of the cougars ribs were broken and had actually punctured the lungs.

Makes me wonder how long it would take a coyote to kill a deer

I assumed it was much quicker... I'm curious how long it cut ally took as some of the film was cut out in editing.

Cool video. Next time someone tells you hunting is cruel, show them that video. Nature is soo much more raw. If I was a deer I would opt for a 130 gr bullet though the zone. A whole lot quicker.
