Caught this guy on my camera. Not sure how big he would run, but I have a guess. I am asking because there are better educated guessers on here than I am.

Hoping he makes it through to next season so I may get a shot at him.

I am asking what the spread on this guy would run, as I have no idea.

hard to say when we can only see 1/2 of 1 side .. Got any other photos ? Looks like he is well fed . tasty regardless of score .

No other photos. I was shocked to say the least that I got this one.

I think my batteries died after this pic was taken.

no idea on the score but a smoking bull all the same, and not to try to side track the thread, but is that one of the simmons cameras that cabela's sometimes puts on sale 2 for 150?

I got them at Canadian Tire 2 for 1. Cant remember the price.

Not bad cam, just a slow trigger on them.

Kinda wish it was twice as fast. I miss some game because if it

Not bad for a couple of cheapies though.

Maybe if you have another camera then put it on the other side of the hay facing towards the first camera to get the pics of the whole face...just an idea...and I would say about 40-45"...thats bigger than any by me

If my choices were: wee, not so wee and frickin huge, I'd say not so wee. Unless, this pic is only 30 min from a major city or less, then frickin huge.

We got a 53 this year, and he looked alot bigger than this so like another poster said, I think the 40-45 would be about right but tough to say since we can only see 50% of him

He looks to be in the mid 40 inch range. It's hard to tell from this angle.

He has plenty of points, but I can't tell if he has shovels or how big they might be if he has them.

If he has shovels, he should score high for the width he has. I wouldn't think he'd even be close to making book, but a very nice bull non-the-less.

You are a real ladies man. :D

And sometimes it is that big. :scared:

Low 40's, although it looks like that right side might lay out more than the left, which could bring it up a few inches.

Whats the diameter of the bale he is eating? That should give you a good idea of his size.

I am glad he is eating your hay instead of mine.

I think he is about mid forty-some inches because his ears, if held down, would come to the edge of the paddles. The bull I shot this fall was very similar in size and his ears came to about the same point on the paddles. My bull measured just shy of 45". The width can really depend on how the paddles lie and if any sticker points help out. My bull's bottom paddle sticker points helped him out a bit. This bull is very similar in size to my 45" bull if not a touch bigger. I would say this bull is certainly no less than 40" and probably closer to 45" or so. The left side has no sticker points out to the side but the right side does lay out a bit more like WB said.

Compare him to my 45" bull (compare the ear width):

I will guess and say mid 40 inch. Score 160. Mine was 58 1/2 spread and score 218. That one has a long way to go but its hard to tell how many points and length from that pic.

I personally after zooming it from all the angles I could. Would say he would fit in the deepfreeze perfectly lol

46 +7/8ths. lol.
That's a big bull.
I have seen some big boys in Strathcona over the years.
The biggest bull I've seen ever was just East of you, well not "just" but not too far.
Those bulls will go in and out of Elk Island NP.

I say next fall I grab my bow and call him in for you. I can be pretty flexible in how much time I can hunt.
Let's plan for October 3rd about 9:30? Does that work for you?

That is funny, I have just been gathering as much info on bow hunting as possible.

I used to shoot way way way back in the day. I am looking to get back into it now, for obvious reasons.
