I never wanted one as I like being an outside fisher. But, my dad is up there in age and my prime fishing buddy and being in the colder wind for him has become tougher and tougher as he edges up there in age.

I got a great deal through work, $85 for the clam twin II, and the picture on the box was an old school triangle tent. I don't care as it's basically a place for my dad to be comfortable on the ice with a view of the rods, and a place to cook and jig if his arthritis isn't bugging him.

The tent is awesome, as the picture is wrong, it opens into a largish cube not a pitched walled tent. 7x7 floor and 6' height. Thinking of writing clam to adjust the picture as it would help with sales. Though a few modifications will be made for wind proofing but other than that, I'm as happy as a clam!

It will also make a nice sunshade for those treeless camping spots come summer.

I bought the same tent and you are right, the picture does it no justice. The thing is huge inside! On sale at Canadian Tire right now. A steal at $100

You could park a quad in it and doors at both ends, a little one and a big one. And very light.

they make a huge difference. I dont care if its minus 40, with a heater inside its my living room. get the foam mats for the floor they make a huge difference

We have an older propane for indoor use, if we can get it to minus 10, heck, it would be like fishing in jamaica, alberta style! It's that pesky wind on his old bones, cold is cold, it's winter but that wind can cut through the best of layers.

Anyhoo, very happy!

Yup the tents are great and changed my views of ice fishing. You can pretty much fish any day of the winter if you have a good enough heater compared to weather that plays a big factor for fishing in summer.

That tent looks pretty cool...definitely looks bigger/better in this pic than in the one on the CT website :)

It's really roomy and not as crappy as the pics on the box,, found this video that shows how big the big doors are on one end.
