We just got our test results for three deer. Two were positive. Both came from the same section and we killed one last year in that area that tested positive aswell. Total 2 muleys 1 whitey all bucks. Still waiting on two more tests to come back.

What WMU? Thats gotta be a real low probablility to have two out of three come back positive.

Not telling the wmu...but it has to have something to do with little area we seem to take most of our bucks from. One last year was nine and a half. Not sure what the two this year were fOr age.

I don't want people to know where I hunt. I just thought I would share my cwd results.

Wow, that must mean that a high proportion of the AB positives in the last two years came from your honey hole! I think we can wipe out CWD in the province.............if only you would tell us where this section is located.:thinking-006:

My guess is 232 or 243 is where the CWD was found....we had one test positive this year too.....just look on the new map, see where BHB little stars show up and you will know where....

I wonder how much, if any, that CWD has to do with various farming chemicals/ fertilizers/ herbicides or GMO plants.

It's from not wearing velcro gloves and mudboots when playing with sheep. :)

Very diplomatic. And I agree..........if it wasn't evident from my earlier posts.

If he gets that many CWD animals and wants to protect his "honey hole", I think he'd have fewer people competing if he actually posted the GPS co-ordinates and easiest access roads to take!

Sounds like someone's spot needs a cull. Also sounds like there should be some checking into local farming practices in all zones with significant CWD #'s.

Considering that as of this morning, there have been no cases of CWD identified on the Suffield Base, Buckhunter has some 'splainin to do.

Not that I would believe what he says now....

I am looking forward to seeing your proof.

For now, I believe the reply I recieved from Alberta Fish and Wildlife this morning.

Thank you for your enquiry. There have been no case of CWD detected on the Suffield military base, although we have not quite finished testing all of the heads submitted during the 2012 elk hunt.

BHB supposedly whacked that big mule buck off the west side of camp wainwright too but posted up some pictures. I guess we should hold judgement until he shows the proof.

Enough is enough you guys! Come on! Obviously this guy is making this all up! Stop humouring him! On the Suffield Elk CWD results he says he has a positive in the third week on one post, then asks if there was a third week on his next post. Don't be so gullible. This guy is just playing with you!

Maybe you are right but what would drive a man to get off on making up a story like that?

Ding ding ding...I didn't think there was a third week and thought it was funny figured people would laugh cause there was no third week. Like the nineteenth on a golf course...obviously there is a third week and it is nearly the joke I thought it would be. Sorry fellas if I ruined your day. Now on the subject of the deer having cwd. My dad shot a mule buck last year that was 9 1/2 which tested positive for cwd

This past season 2 outta 3 tests that we have received came back positive.
I don't want to share my area cause it produces great deer.

Cry wolfn.....too many times and your street cred gets ruined....:)

This is in reference to the CWD claim you made on the base.....we had a deer test positive this year too. No need to start rumours about the Suffield hunt....

Hey moderators....BuckHunter Bowen....CWD is a serious issue, not a good place for jokes and the rumor mill. Especially with our Alberta Elk heards. Give it a shake man, you won't be able to say anything on this site that will be belived again.:snapoutofit:

Your stupid joke produced results other than ruining a day.

Several people had to take time out of their work day in order to confirm your claim. CWD is serious, the ramifications of a CWD positive in the Suffield Elk herd are disgusting. If your claim was true, this would have been a fire-alarm we would have to attend.

After calling you out, you continued to play with deceitful claims. I gave you the benefit of doubt, keeping an open mind that possibly there was an error with the paperwork or even worse, that the government was not being forthwright.

Can you not see past your own reflection?

Your actions in this thread and the Suffield Elk CWD Results thread require more than the childish brushoff that it was a joke. You have caused damage, and should rectify the problem. I expect you to retract your statements, confirm that it was intended as a joke, and to apologize to both those who work in CWD control and the forum members. You should do this in both threads so there is less chance of people believing what you joked about.

Personally I think someone needs a time-out, as they don't appear to have reached the level of maturity required to interact with adults.

Mind you, I can think of more than one "adult" whose behaviour recently should end in the same result....
