Not sheds... but three different moose.. A cow and calf... and a bull i think that dropped its headgear. It was sure beating the crap out of a small tree, and I went up to find no antlers ...but a bunch of moose hair everywhere.

Nice to see the moose in between travels to different areas. Made me hungry
Bella had fun today.. But the snow was too deep in a lot of areas.

First Noticed Momma.....

Then noticed the calf waddle out of the treeline

Then they made it across the field and disappeared into the trees.

then we left to another are to walk some deer trails and came across this moose. Sure was thrashing a young tree. Bella and I got out and snuck within 30ish yards before it took off. Inspected the ground for antlers but el nadda.

great pics. just curious if youv'e had any success with sheds this year. the snow is so deep i would guess that it's pretty tough shed hunting.

Thats cool,
I went cross country skiing last year by Bragg Creek and almost skied into about 15 moose. There were 6 on one side of the road and a whole bunch more on the other. I have never seen so many moose in one place
Anyway, all that to say, What is shed hunting?
Are you looking to buy a shed, or just shooting at one?

I went out this morning looking for coyotes and saw 6 moose. One was about a 40" bull, I was surprised to see he still had antlers.

Im thinking he had little paddles or at least one.. When I seen the moose thrash the small tree and put on an angry show.. I thought for sure it was payday and maybe he was knocking an antler off on it. But nope.. Kicked the snow around all by the tree and no paddles.

The snow is super deep where he was standing... up to my knees.. I had to walk on the skidoo tracks lol

Thanks Bigbore. Had 10 muleys pop out all with head gear , one lost his right in front of us. Cow moose and twins i think. Can't believe how many moose i've seen around the Red Deer river
