I love doing overnight trips in my ice tent but every time I do it I end up with a puddle in my tent. I have heard of putting foam floor mats down but it didn't help me that much last time. Are there another techniques to keeping the floor from melting?

I made a floor out of plywood with hinges precut holes and hooks to tie the tent down. Works good but fairly exspensive and heavy. I saw some mats on Waynes Christie post on square rubber ones that are probably about a foot square and they interlock and available at Can. Tire. Looked good to me. Piker

I've seen one on Iceshanty where a guy took some of the pink foam sheets the use to insulate houses, attached 1/4in plywood to one side and used that. Looked warm and dry.

I use the 2x2 mats, never had the floor melt yet, and Ive had the heat on pretty high some days, maybe try less heat and a warmer sleeping bag.
