Crown land to shoot on

Hey everyone,

Me and my buddy are heading out to do some shooting this weekend, and I figured instead of going to sibbald I'd like to hit up some crown land. I plan on shooting 22/250, 17HMR and 12g (buck, trap load and slug). Does anyone know of some crown land close to Calgary (I don't mind driving a few hours, though I drive a AWD sedan). I would love some long range spots to just set up and plink for the day. We are prepared for a hike, though lack a GPS so somewhere with minimal cell service would be great (iphone 5 has AGPS).

Any advice would be greatly noted!

go to waiparous, tons of crown land and clearcut galore so you can set up for short or long distance, 45 min from calgry, private message me if you need directions

I do believe I will be heading out there with my buddies friday, hopefully theres some good spots! Really wanting to take a 500 yard shot with my T3 and expend a few of these hornady 12g SST's.
