Was wondering if anyone could recommend an outfitter for a spring black bear hunt. It is for a 3 generation hunt Father/Son/Grandson. We are looking for a baited hunt in Alberta (would go to Sask). It will be a first archery hunt for 2 of us. We are Alberta residents but will probably be the only time we do a black bear hunt so would like to use an outfitter that has the expertise and setup. The grandson will only be 14 years old so would like to find a place that doesnt just drop you off at the stand. Most likely this will be the only hunt we ever do as a group and want it to be special.

Thanks in advance!

Andrew lake lodge has some awesome bear hunting!!! World record black bear shot with a crossbow came from there!

One of my buddies guides bears near Vanderhoof B.C. This would be strictly spot and stock. see 10-20 bears a day. Might be more worthwhile as all of you could hunt together. Kind of hard to hunt 3 generations at the same stand. Just a thought. The website address is www.crystallakebc.com if you want to take a closer look.

Spot and stock in ALBERTA ..... with a bow, lots of fun ! No need for a guide. How many days you have ? The right spot and you will all get a chance for a stock with the bow .And there are lots of spots. Just my thought

Since you are Alberta residents, be aware that some outfitters offer greatly reduced rates for residents. PM sent

I worked for Garrett bros last year, best outfit I have ever worked for, food and lodging second to none. Lots of bears, great people, awesome system, and good wildlife management in some real gem country. If you call them what they say is the straight up honest truth, they are the most honest hard working people you will ever meet.
