A friend of mine grew up in southeast Saskatchewan and wants me to go down with him for a few days to hunt coyotes. What are the requirements and rules for an Albertan to hunt down there?

Maybe you should check the Sask. regs. before giving advice:rolleyes:

I just called the wildlife department just to check and there is no way for a non resident to hunt yotes in Sask... i may have to move back for a bit.

I have a bud in Maidstone who puts on a coyote derby every year, was going to go, but he told me something about having to be a Sask. resident!:((

Ridiculous! With there being so many they should be more than happy to sell a tag and let out of province guys/gals ping them off.
Last fall on one of my morning sits seen 4 deer and 6 yotes.
Come on Sask. Gov. :snapoutofit:

How do Randy Anderson and Les Johnson get away with filming and televising Sask. yote hunts? Seems like a silly law, but what can ya do.

You will notice that Randy Anderson only does the calling (in Sask.) and Woolly or some other resident does the shooting. As far as Les Johnson, can't really comment on that, as I thought most of his "in Canada" filming was done in Alberta.
I agree, it does seem like a strange rule. I have relatives scattered all over rural Sask. and it would be nice to go coyote hunting with them.

Ah, good eye. Never paid that close of attention. Thanks!

I thought that you can hunt coyotes in Sask as long as its on native or reserve land??

May be false but this is what i have heard.
