There has been an extensive winter fish kill at Salters Lake. I am a club member.

I've fished there many years, & the airater has always been sufficient to keep it healthy thru tougher winters? Also with the higher water levels of the last few years, there are up to 28-30 ft areas in Salters. Shallower lakes with no airation have survived. How could this happen? You're not trying to keep folks away from your favorite trout lake ? HHmmm Also a slight kill might help. They stock way to many fish in that lake, for it's size! 15-20,000, when much larger body's are getting 3-5,000. Hope this is not true............Johnny

The aerator was shut down for a while earlier this winter because of fishing line wrapped around it and stalling it. Since it's been restarted, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to be operating at the same height spray as in previous years.
This may be part of the problem.
