Shot this one with the 22-250, saw the tracks off and on all winter of a pair. I saw them in a field today. The female was out of range but the male was on the run at 130 yards.

Awsum, congrats and good job. If you don't mind me asking where did you get it at. Looks like a pretty good size. What did you shoot it with?

Duh I see you shot it with the 22-250. Flattened it?

Ya first one slowed him down and second shot knocked him down. Quartering away. First one in the ham and the second behind the last rib.

Got a yote this morning with my 22-250, was feeling pretty good. But a wolf would be MUCH sweeter. Congrats.

I'm thinking a solid round, maybe not a ballistic tip style?

Those cheap Winchester 45 GR. JHP Varmint Value Pack. I always reload 55 GR. NBT's but was out of primers and those cheap winchesters were all I had.

Rubbed bad, missing gaurd hairs. Pelt is no good due to a long stretch of warm weather. But good for a $300 bounty.

Is anyone selling value packs right now? I checked 4 stores last week and all I could find is PPU and Hornady.

Good to know , the Amax work good on the coyotes but I think they may have opened up to quick in my case . I carry the extra clip now with 55 gr SP's just in case . Your hide might be rubbed but he's done and you still get some cash .. winner all around to me .

Good sized wolf... I'd get a head mount if the hide is all ******ed. Which is unfortunate.

Do they let you keep the hide/head when you turn it in for bounty?

We have some wolves around our place but i have yet to see one...all the neighbors that don't even own a gun seem to see em from time to time so they tell me...but all i ever see are those stinkin yotes...maybe one day i will be able to post a pic like yours...Congrats on the great shot...er shots!
