Anyone know where the Montana bass are?

I was thinking about making a trip down south to hit some small mouth or large mouth. I have been googling like crazy and can't seem to get any straight answers. One site tells me a lake holds bass and the next says it doesn't...I don't know what to believe at this point.

Yeah, looks like an option. Pretty big body of water though. Was hoping to find a smaller lake I could launch the basshound on. Hard to find info on small lakes in Montana.
