the forestry trunk road from muskeg corner right up to highway 43, seen at least 40 over the past few years. Not able to carry a rifle while working or I would have taken a few.

Think it's not so much where as when. They travel widely and the trick is to get you and the wolf in the same place at the same time. :D

Lots and lots of them in 534, have seen them less than 2 miles from High Level.

never seen any but where i hunt in 353 we had them around us all the time.it did not matter how far we went from camp every time we set up and started calling the wolves would start howling.tried to call them in a few times but i must not be any good at it cause it did not work.set up on a couple of kills we found but i guess it was the wrong time at the rite place.i found it funny that they would howl at all times of the day from morning to night and some times all night around camp.we were there for 10 days the first time and four days the next time and i would hear them every day.it made for hard hunting and a couple of sleepless nights.

I agree west of 22 and north of 16. However the wolves cleaned out all the elk in Brazeau/Blackstone country. I have seen over 250 elk over last few years and last game count a couple years back were only 10 elk in the entire area. Thus one hell of a lot of wolves working that area. WMU 353 not very good as F & W have been poisioning them for years to save the little Smokey cariboo herd.

I was hunting up north, saw lots of fresh sign but no direct sighting. Did some elk calling and the wolves really started howling for about 20 minutes.... kinda eerie when you're a couple km from your truck.
