K Country

Hey all, I'm supposed to head out to K country next weekend and won't be able to take the boat. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of some good shore or creek fishing near the golf course. I may not be able to take my boat but I'm sure I can sneek a rod and some tackle past the wife and slip out for an hour or two a couple of mornings. Thanks for any info.

Wedge Pond is the first place that comes to my mind. It has Arctic Grayling in it. Small flies seem to work best for me, but I've had some luck using spinning gear with small spoons and spinners.

If you want to catch some little rainbows stop at Mt. Lorette ponds. Great for kids and when we went there in May it was full of them. Caught them on flies and worms. May have been heavily fished due to easy access but I believe it is restocked in early July.
