Gull has fished well for me this yr . Pike to 10ish ,good few good perch , a couple of small ling . Watch whites all day with the odd walleye sighting . A friend had a banner walleye day .

Got one little perch yesterday. Its pretty slow not much action. Maybe I'm just in all the wrong spots

I normally fish a couple hundred yards of the point , you get lots of whites and some jack but never a ling.

I have caught them in the northern and southern basin. Nothing big 4-6 lb. Sylvan has much bigger.

Great day at Gull today with Mike W and Tina. I caught my limit. Drop my truck keys down the hole got them back and they worked. Then went to Sylvan caught 2 more whites and a mini jack.

Was a good day out there as well. Eyes were biting great after 1:30 and got a decent jack after 3 on the tip up.

You kids starting a "gang" the mean green electric team . Lol. gona have to start flying the black and white of the jiffy gas brigade.lol. hit the ne corner for a few hrs . Saw lots of whites no takers (as always.) Got a few small perch and had a hammer handle to the ice.

So today was my first outing with my ion and all I can say is ...... Wicked!! It was sweet to jump out of the truck pull the auger out of the box pop the blade protector off and start drilling. Sure beats the noise and smell of the jiffy not to mention the 3-5 min warm up! The jiffy still is part of my arsenalt the chipper blades and a 10" still has its purpose but 80% of my fishing will be with the ion!!

I only drilled about half a dozen holes today so just for fun as I was packing up I drilled a few more :sHa_shakeshout:

Was out on saturday and had lotsofbig perch to about 12.5 inches and managed 4 whites btween the 2 of us!:sHa_shakeshout:

Was out today, it rained!! Most of the day but warm temps, lots if Pike action, was targeting whites, but the Pike were all over my small wire worms, so i got my pike rod out with a smaller jig, nothing!! Put the wire worm down and bang, wire gone, lots of fun, was able to limit out later in the day on whites in 8 feet water.

Had a great day a Gull with Dad caught our limit in less than 2 hours and got to meet tmaxx from AO forum. Didn't get to fish with him today but maybe Sunday. Sorry tmaxx should have came and saw us sooner I don't use my phone much on the lake I'm really go at dropping stuff down the hole.!

Weather is supposed to be all snow tomorrow. We just got back into Edmonton around 6:00 and weather was surprisingly better on the lake and closer we got to Edmonton the worse it got. Anyway if you head out good luck to you

I was out with 2 other friends on Saturday, man the fog was thick at times!!...We all got our limit with some okay perch and a really nice Pike!!...The whites were finicky but found two lures that had them coming hard!!..:)

Afternoon was hot for pike on Monday. landed 4 , a hammer handle and 3 around 6-8lb . Walleye cruising off and on most of the time . Missed a large perch in the gloom. Actually had a white hit a small minnow. At 4pm the pike went mad for any falling presentation. Rattlers , flying jigs were getting smashed for abought 30 min . Walleye were very tentative never really committing .a Good day with 2perch and 2 pike harvested between two of us.

Pike action was really hot on the northeast as well saw over 10 on cam and caught 5 between 3:15-4:00!

The jacks were biting today. Hooked into six, landed 3, kept 1 30". I missed just as many. Went through three packs of regular smelts.

Had the odd wally come say hi but I didn't get any interest from them.

Just got back from Gull, nice morning, lots of Pike action in the early am, wasnt targeting them and they kept taking my wire worm, pretty tough in the Marmish rods, got 2 nice whites on the ice.

Took a couple of freinds out and one of my sons.
The fish on one side are 3lb 1oz to 3lb 6oz ....all caught from one hole (son & me) while the other fish were 2lb to 2.7 lbs.....caught from holes 6ft away. The difference......bait. They used maggots, corn, wire worms. We used our own secret ingredient/bait and hand made creatively adorned hooks. It is obvious that bigger whites have a tendency to prefer a different bait than maggots. Next time meal worms versus our bait.
