outboard troller

anyone use a electric troller on a 150 outboard on a 18 lund tyee.Was wondering if this may be an option.If so what thrust motor are you using.This new boat thing is taking way to much time from coyote hunting.

I went with a Minn Kota - Terrova 80 lb thrust (24 volt) with a 60" shaft for my 1800 Tyee - 150 Honda boat - just like yours - lol.

Here was my logic -

A little chop and/or wind out there you will be able to hold your electronic anchor and have a little extra length to keep the boat prop in the water when you pitch around.

You could easily thrust the boat with a Minn Kota Powerdrive 70 lb (24 volt ) but I'd still say get the 60" shaft.

The Tyee sits pretty high in the water and your boat will come with 2 new interstate deep cycle marine batteries in the bow with the 24 volt plug ready to go.

Either motor is a good choice.
