Well... very slow day on Wab. We fished 12-6 with a couple flags up and NADA until 5 minutes before we left. WHAM, flag up, fish on! Gloves off, pulled a nice 9lb fat girl through the ice.
Awesome way to end the day, this is my personal best best pike!

We started off on the west side of Fallis and only had one flag up but she spit the hook. After about 2 hours of nothing we headed over to the east side where we had a couple flags and the 9lber. We were using herring and double treble hook rigs, as well my buddy was jigging for micro perch and whites. Only one baby perch caught.
Helped out a guy who got his truck stuck towing his side X side out on to the ice. He hooked up the side X side while my buddies and I gave him a push, everything worked out and we got him back on the hardpacked trail.
Ice is about 24-26 inches, nice clear stuff, good to drive on.
WINDY AS CRAP though, overall awesome day.
