battle heads up

Just a heads up for you guys... Dropped a rear wheel into the ice at Battle on Sunday. Found this jewel of a soft spot on the south west end. I felt around with my hand and found only 3 inches of ice around the hole.

the ice sucks everywhere this year....good year to use a sled and leave the truck on hard ground.

Battle is one of the most dangerous lakes in the province. Lots of springs, moving water etc... I would never drive on that lake myself.

You are obviously a local so you might know the lake better than most BUT .......Stay safe ......

Thanks for the info. About how deep was the water below where you broke through?

Would be about 15 feet there..on the shaded side so definitely a spring

Slow in the West flat. Got better for pike when we fished the drop offs
