Early ice off (open water) Thoughts ?

Thinking that we will have open water early this year with all the warm weather we have gotten over the winter. Ice on most lakes is only about 2 ft. Most years at this time it's close to 3 ft. I know that at Hastings lake the lake is usualy open about the begining of May, thinking it will be open mid April maybe sooner this year. Gonna be a bad year for alge !
I think the ice will be off the lakes 2 to 4 weeks sonner than most years in the past. Think we will have to be very carefull this year. If so, only 4 more weeks of hard water !
Whats your thoughts? (Ice thickness and condition in your area)

first ice fishing this season but won't complain about this warm breeeeze.
been trying Spring lake for the past 4 weekends and little more than a foot thick.
