my brother lives in vancouver and he always gets a kick out of my ice fishing pics. and stories. he especially thinks it's pretty funny seeing pics of vehicles going through the ice. he thinks were a little insane by driving on the lakes. sunday morning he went to his cabin on indian arm (my favourite fishing spot) and had a problem of his own. think i'll fly out there this week with my saltwater gear and give him a hand. weather and scenery sure looks better out his window then mine.

I used to live on Indian Arm and every October I had to anchor the dock with
200' cables as the North Souht wind in winter would pull the dock out and skew the ramp. Gorgeous area and great fishing if you know where to go.

Looks like the pivot on the ramp broke and it went in.
Have to wait till low tide to recover that....lol

Man that place looks like it sucks ........... but I can sacrifice the beauty of our dirty snow, slushy streets and bald prairies and come out an give you guys a hand out there !!

pic. taken from his cabin window. floating dock broke a cable and shifted position and ramp end sunk. end of ramp in 60' of water and end of dock over 200' of water. they are attatching heavy floats at ramp end at low tide and then waiting for high tide to lift ramp. should be interesting. he will send more pics as work proceeds.

yeh i really hate going down there. can never decide whether to go out the front door and fish for salmon, ling cod, snapper, shark etc. also crabbing and prawns. or do i go out the back door and play a little golf on his private course or hike up the hill and hunt bear, couger,deer or the occasional elk.
guess i'll go outside now and shovel some snow.

You can sit there and drink beer and watch the tide come in! Try not to be too drunk before the work starts! Lol
