Need help ( new to fishing ,calgary)

Hi everyone my self Jacob and my wife Carla are very new to this site , got invited on here thru gentleman from kijji. We are seriously getting into fishing this season. Would love to hear great places to fish outside the city like weekend get away thing. Also if anyone has any kind of fishing gear that is sitting and collecting dust we would like to put it to use. Preferably free as we are not the richest people in calgary. Thank you very much ahead of time:)

Your not far from the mountains for stream fishing not far from central Alberta to fish lakes around red deer and best of all plenty of options around Lethbridge . I fish all over Alberta . I suggest heading to fishing hole wholesale sports bass pro or 7-11 pick up an Alberta fishing guide by Barry Mitchel . That will give you some good spots or pick up a southern Alberta road book . Or get both then you'd be laughing .
