Is it worth the biscuit?
I wouldn't risk it for the biscuit.

I hope you don't have a big shack requiring a large trailer. Saw a couple of guys on the east side 2 days ago have lots of fun just trying to get a 3 axle trailer off the beaten track. As soon as they left it they were stuck. Twice. Good luck. BEL

Gull should be good till end of season. More good ice on that lake then any I've fished.

This was taken the other day on Sylvan (27"+) I'm sure Gull is similar. I'd be more concerned about the possibility of more snow is on it's way, hope they're wrong!

Pic looks like a Frosty's Butt or Big B**bs!

Ice is not the issue. Ice is in excellent shape and in some places almost down to the end of the auger. Depth of snow in areas where snow drifts exist, is the problem I was referring to. Be careful of the route you take going to your shack and of course going off the lake. Good luck. BEL

You'll be able to drive onto it for another month easily if wanted.

Thats what the ropes and stakes are included with the tent for. Most days you dont need them but on windy days run a rope through the loop on the outside of your tent pole and stake it to the ice. You should only have to do this on one side of your tent (the windy side) and keep from blowing the wall in on you. I had my wall get blown in one time and upset my coffee in to my hole.

And THAT is why this forum is so useful!

Lots of ice on Gull, over 2 feet plus and still really good ice, quite a bit of snow drifts so a 4x4 is still a must.

Just set up your tent with your truck blocking the wind and tie to the truck.

Hope your coffee didn't have any antifreeze in it ! Would hate to waist that stuff, might help catching the fish if they would start swimming round and round.

Hmmm, is that food or a hook? I think I will bite it anyways.
