Headed out to Star yesterday. It was a little chilly on the feet, but the fishing was worth it. I only caught 6 but these were the nicest.

great pictures. kinda makes me swat to go buy that pontoon boat ive been debating buying.

little chilly?? lol. i managed to get out SW of edson late yesterday, and got a mix of sun, clouds, gale force winds added with whiteout snow, then back to sun. No fish caught, found some clear water, couple takes and some big big BIG predator tracks seen and unwanted as i left the shottie at home.

Nice fish. Can you take an electric motor and boat out onto the lake?

huntercam- Star is about 15km West of Stony Plain on Hwy 16, 7km south on Hwy 770, then 3km west.

fishingguy- I caught 5 on 1/32oz jigs that i tie in streamer patterns for my spinning rod, and I caught 1 on a prince nymph under a strike indicator with my fly rod.

kats69- We were on the water at about 9:30 and left at 1:00'ish.

johninab- Yes you can bring electric motors... only electric motors are allowed.

Thanks for the info. May have to take the boat out there so I can practice casting with my fly rod. Be cheaper on flies as when I practice at the trout ponds around here, all I do is donate flies to the grass and tree gods!
