Anyone heading out opening week? Im plan on getting out there right away,as long as the ice is off.....at least along the shoreline!

I was hoping to get out on opening day but I have to work so I will be out there the weekend after. Hopefully there is some open water along the shore and the fish are hungry.

Checked Cavan last week, ice was still white. Has been cold for the entire week, sun can do a lot but a few degrees above zero would be nice. It'll have to be a long warm stretch to have it ice free by April 1.

Michelle still had18" Although had flood ice in the bays. Don't think bulls head will be ice free by April 1

There is a good recent report on the Flyfish Calgary forum, im thinking youre going to have to bring an ice auger on opening day.
