A day filled with "incidents" of others around you, but ultimately resulting in good fishing and good freinds sharing laughs.

Here are the results:

They are Alberta Fish and not that far...... It's all about the bait first, then location on lake.

Yeah that pike was chunky.

Wind was blowing pretty good....tent needed pegs and ropes.
Snow on lake was blow in and crusted making driving fun.....don't loose your forward momentum or else trouble. Seen three vehicles stuck and shoveling. Problem was if you tried to pull them out, you would just add to the number of vehicles stuck. Not a day to be on the ice without being prepared as in having the tires for it or chains. We almost got stuck twice.

Buddy with us, thought he lost his clutch, but just had the linkage disconnect...thankfully.

The whites are going to be smoked in the next few days (and probably eaten rightaway with beers and freinds and family) .....on ice right now.

I've been focussing on a couple of southern reseviors and have been impressed with some of the pigs ive seen swim by... I'm sure i lost one at the hole that would have gone 5 pounds... so ya..... there may be untapped bounty in themn there waters...

keep that spot to you and yours bud!

Smoked whitefish beats all in my opinion. I used to get smoked ones from Ft. Chip way back in the day..... the best beer snack ever invented.

Im very jealous!!
