I'm pretty sure that Island lake by the border is packed with these.
Interweb says they exist in the Waterton Lakes...
Anyone know if they are considered a whitefish like the game fish... or is it a baitfish.... they are sure darn little !

That would be pretty neat if they were in Waterton.

According to my Fish of Alberta book, they've only been found in Upper Waterton Lake and the Snake Indian River in Jasper. It says they are exceptionally rare.

That they are in Island lake right on the Bc border.
I've caught them there ice fishing.
Tonnes of them.
Someone smarter than me should check that out.

My book says they are in the Upper Peace River, Upper Athabasca River near Jasper, and Waterton Lakes.
10 cm long. Dang better catch lots of em Bessie. hehehe

Yup!!
That's them!!!!
You can pull a tonne of em out with a tear drop hook.
I'm pretty sure I can't use them for the lakers in Crowsnest..
They'd be perfect for that man!
