Lets see what everyone's personal best catches have been as in fish species including weight, length and if you want to disclose where it was caught (optional). The winner gets a glass of water and a toothpick!! Joking.

Here are mine:

Best Pike: 22 lbs x 46" caught n released at Colin Lake 2012 (yes released, have an 18 lber on wall)
Best Perch: 2 lbs x 15.5" caught n kept long ago at Missawawi Lake 1985ish??
Best Walleye: 11 lb(+) x 33" caught n released at Calling Lake several years ago prior to slot size at Calling (have a 10 lb already on wall...so whats the point of keeping another breeder)
Best Burbot: estimate around 10 lbs and 30ish" at Goodfish Lake many moons ago
Best Lake Trout: 16 lbs x 30" at Cold Lake, 2013
Best Bull Trout: 12 lbs x 33" at Kootenay River near Radium, 2008
Best Cutthroat Trout: under 2 lbs at Kootenay River, same time as Bull was caught.
Best Rainbow Trout: 7 lb+ x 24" at Lake X, 2013
Best Brown Trout: 8 lb+ x 26" at Lake X, 2013
Best Brook Trout: Under 2 lbs and quite small LOL
Best Arctic Grayling: weight unknown but it was 15.5" at Tumbler Ridge River, couple years ago, have replica on wall
Best Sturgeon: figured it was approx 60+ lbs and well over 4 feet long at NSR before 911 era, and of course caught n released.
Best Sea Fish: A barracuda that was probably 3 feet long but a 8 ft bull shark grabbed it about 50 yards behind boat and I landed the front half of the fish, lol, will post pic one day, was quite exciting!

Unfortunately no bass, muskie, crappie as of yet however I did a taxidermy mount on a small mouth bass from Island Lake back in the 80's from Smoky Lake area. Lets see your bragging board and pics if possible. Have a great day!

I fish mostly catch and release and believe completely in releasing trophy fish, let em go so they can grow!!

Walleye - 13.2lbs 31" Red River, MB 2010

Pike - 17.5lbs (never measured) Lake Athabasca, AB 2011

Burbot - 8.8lbs (never measured) Gregoire Lake, AB 2009

Sturgeon - 5'4" (never weighed) Pine Falls, MB 2006

Channel Cat - 34.5" (never weighed) Red River, MB 2012

Lake trout - 29" (never weighed) Grist Lake, AB 2010

Goldeye - 20" (never weighed) Athabasca River 2011

I have caught and released a couple master angler (Manitoba thing) small mouth bass (over 18") in the 4lbs class and one year we were smashing master angler rock bass (over 10") my biggest perch is just over 12" and my largest rainbow was around 5lbs, caught a few largemouth but nothing worth bragging about.

Ill tell you about my best single days fishing...... Thurston lake. About 1985. No less than a dozen pike between 40 and 50 inches.(back then it was more about weight rather than length). This was in june. The year before old edwin walliser pulled in a 30 lber. Used to go to tapawingo lodge on bistchoe lake when jack halverson had it. Great fishing but didnt compare to thurston.

I just realized, looking at all this, that I've gotten pretty lazy in terms of actually trying to get the big ones. Have to unchain myself from that desk more often. All of these have gotten rather far back in my increasingly foggy memory. Nothing is less than 10-15 years ago.
Walleye, 9.5 lb, 29.5", Tobin
Pike, 46" (not weighed), Seibert (it was skinny, and I've caught heavier ones, but that is the longest)
Perch, 14" (not weighed), Blackett
Chinook, 23 lb., Ucluelet
Sockeye, 12 lb., Sooke (apparently a really big one for this species?)
Brown trout, 19", 3 lb. +, Shunda Creek (goddamn the real monster that spooled me and escaped in the Bow!!)
Cuttthroat trout, 21" (not weighed), North Ram
Rainbow trout, 24" (not weighed), Bow (Immediately, second cast, after the big brown spooled me, and I reloaded - justice?)
Grayling, 22" (not weighed), Yukon
Lake trout, 12.5 lb., Yukon
Brook trout, 19", 3 lb. +, 1966 Wildwood Lake, right in Dartmouth, NS (I was 12)
Bull trout, 5.5 lb., Unnamed creek - beaver dam, Sundre area
Burbot, 8lb., NSR
Mahi-Mahi ("dolphin"), 42 lb., Mazatlan
Striped Bass, 32 lb., Annapolis River, NS (1975, among 5 caught in 1.5 hours totalling 119lb. - my best day ever in fishing terms)
Rocky mountain white, 22" (not weighed), Wapiabi (we should have weighed some of the fat brutes we pulled out of that whirlpool that day dunking nymphs - fat and maybe close to "record" - but all released)
Lake White, 6.5 lb., Smoke Lake
Sucker, 7 lb., Tobin
Many, many much smaller fish of various "non-game" species.

Except for the few that are devoted or lucky enough to be able to pursue this passion "full time" that's probably not bad (?).

The current world record Pink is around 14.5 lbs. I have been wrong lots before, but a 37 inch salmon would likely hit over 20 lbs.

Edit - just checked Wiki and it says:
"The maximum recorded size was 30 inches (76 cm) and 15 pounds (6.8 kg).[2]"

Again, I've been wrong lots before, but perhaps you were catching Chum?

I love Australian fish species! Have you ever caught a queenfish? I heard they are amazing on a flyrod..
Great fish & photos!

Hate to break it to you but had to be a smaller Chinook salmon. They are often mixed up. 20lb Pink's do not exist unfortunately, or else a lot more people would target them. Either that or it wasn't 37". Love them fresh on the bbq though.

The location and description of the fishing experience sounds to me like typical Pink Salmon fishing...
Forgive me for being sceptical, but beating the previous WR by that big of a margin doesn't sounds quite right? I must see this fish!

Can quite easily set you up with one of those. This year it would have to be C + R but still a great accomplishment. Halibut over 100's are pretty common with us out of Port Hardy. :)

LOL I don't even think I have any pictures that survived my old lap top mother board frying either well #@%$ . I had all sorts of pictures . Will have to go thru my facebook pictures . But pretty sure I didn't put any of them on there . :-(

Great fish & photos!

I've caught small queenfish but never a big one. I've seen them caught and they really go off. Lots of jumps.

Tarpon are also great fun and jump lots. Highly sought after on fly. Unfortunately, the Aussie ones don't frow as big as the American ones. 80cm is my record and one of the biggest I've heard of.
