Battle Lake Boundary

I am trying to figure out where exactly this boundary line is on the lake ...... here's what it reads in the regs .....

Battle Lake
the portion west of the west boundary of section 22-46-2-W5, all
tributaries & the outlet downstream to Sec. Rd. 771

l June 1 to Mar. 31 – Walleye limit 0 – except the holder of a
Special Fish Harvest Licence and tags, may retain walleye of a
size, number and at the times specified on the licence; Pike limit 3
over 63 cm; Perch limit 5; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 2
(Burbot limit 0 - Feb. 1 to Mar. 31).
l Apr. 1 to May 31 – CLOSED

the remainder of the lake
l May 15 to Mar. 31 – Walleye limit 0 – except the holder of a
Special Fish Harvest Licence and tags, may retain walleye of a
size, number and at the times specified on the licence; Pike limit 3
over 63 cm; Perch limit 5; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 2
(Burbot limit 0 - Feb. 1 to Mar. 31).
l Apr. 1 to May 14 –CLOSED

I was trying to figure this out the other day, and if you look at a map that has the sections on it, section 22 is on the west end of the lake, and the west boundary of it puts it quite a ways down the lake. If you look at this map you will see what I mean...

This will give you a good idea of where the boundary is, but you would have to confirm it with F&W to make certain.

The western side of the blue boxes are the western boundary of section 22. Back in the day, they used to put up signs along the edge of the lake showing the boundary as well. The intent is to protect the fish that are spawning in the west end of the lake near/in the creek.

It would be easier if gps coordinates were added to the regs as well.
