I got a week off and I'm looking to explore alberta a bit. Anyone know of any lakes that are open for fishing and the ice is off. Prefer something with a campsite right on the lake. Prefer shore fishing but i can bring my inflatable boat if need be

Lets hear your suggestions guys, anywhere in alberta works

Beaver Mines Lake should also be open by now, although I'm not completely sure if the campground is. And yes, lots of people have success fishing from shore.

Very good fishing from shore because the weeds have are not up yet. I think most people fish from shore there early. Piker.

We were down @ Beauvais lake on Sat. we had good luck fishing from shore The campground is still closed. Don't know much about Beaver Mines, I did call the Conservation office and they told me it was a higher elevation and still had ice on it. Friends fish Payne a lot, no ice and fishing is ok and there's camping...
only thing down around Cardston / Pincher Creek ... WINDY!
