Bow river

Is the Calgary part of the bow open. I'm not understanding the bears paw dam to whd weir. I'm at the river front down by the delta bow valley area.

if you are upstream of the weir (memorial drive and deerfoot) then it is closed. downstream is open.

the section close to your place is closed, but just downstream its open.

have you heard of the harvey passage? thats where the weir is located.

its basically a small man made dam that they use to flood the irrigation canal in the summer months for the farmers. i think right now its just sitting out of the water. youll see it when you drive on deerfoot. even google maps can show you
