Oh, so that's what open water looks like...sorry, been a long winter. It has come a long way since I was out there a week and a half ago. Thanks for the update.

I think a few days of + 27 with wind will make fast work of it , across all that I've appeared to be a lot of open water . Where about was the video taken ?

I think you still have a while... I was there Saturday and I would say the first 75-100 ft was sketchy but the middle was fairly solid.



I'm guessing the video was taken in Sundance? but only saw a glimpse of shore.

who cares about the middle; the only place on the lake people will fish come long weekend is a football field sized chunk of the lake out front of the prov park - which is likely ice free already

been pretty windy...

Ice is gone but weather has been less than favorable. Not to mention the lake is closed so not much reason to launch a boat other than to go sight seeing.

Water temp is between 53 and 54 degrees F now.

Launched the boat at Mulhurst last night. Normally I go to the PP because Mulhurst is too busy but at 9 last night that didn't apply.

The launch is in good condition. My preference still goes to the Provincial park launch however as it gets deeper faster. I had to back the truck in as deep as I could go to get my 20 ft pontoon boat off where as at the provincial park you barely have to get the back tires wet.
