To be honest you won't find many fish out of Vancouver itself...on a one day charter 2 fish would be a half decent day I'd say. Ya never know though.

I know of a few people who charter out all the time and they do very well.

The first company I'd check with is STS here is a link to their website. http://http://guidebc.com/ They work very hard for their customers. Toll Free: 1 866 771-FISH (3474)

Another would be Freds Fishing Adventures. Toll Free: 1-877-796-3345 Here is a link to their website http://http://www.freds-bc.com/

If you want to head up to Whistler and try your luck out there then the best outfit I know there is Whistler Fly Fishing 1-888-822-3474. Talk to Brian Niska.

If it were me I'd start with STS. I've only ever heard great things about those guys. Try for a day of sturgeon fishing. You won't soon forget catching a real live dinosaur. They are amazing to catch. I have had 6 footers come right out of the water. It's absolutely heart stopping.

Have a great trip.

Dss knows what he is talking about. Vancouver is not a place to associate with a lot of fish. Take the time and go over to the island and put in an hr drive and you will be into some fine fishing. If you need a referance give me a PM I will try and help out...

thank you for your input,

i really appreciate it. It's not hard to agree that fishing from the island is better, we did a trip to Ucluelet last summer and fished from the Oak Bay Marine group's Princess , stayed right there on the harbour, great time but...
very pricey.
I am hoping to keep the costs down this year, I figure the trip over to the island (not counting fishing charter cost or rooms) cost me an extra $500.00 just in extra expenses. sooooo if i can take my boy out of vancouver and catch salmon one day and maybe sturgeon the next,,, we could stretch that $500.00 out for a few more days of fishing.
thanks
