Looking to sell my boat as I upgraded. No idea whats its worth and don't want to rip someone off, rip myself off or insult people with the price lol..

-Boat is 14 foot alumiunum. I can't remember the brand, but its a heavier gauge then most alum boats. standard 3 seats, oar locks.

-motor is 1976 evinrude that runs better then most new outboards. It will start on 1st or 2nd pull every time. I rebuilt the carb, recoil assembly recently. New prop.

-trailer is homemade (but registered with VIN). Trailer has 2 new tires, spare tire is older. Tires are car tires, NOT trailer tires. Tires are much bigger then what the package needs so it rides really nice. I put LED lights on it last year as well.

-with the boat comes a 3 year old hummingbird fish finder (140$ new), a 1 year old 12 volt marine battery, 2 oars, anchor and a duramax 38lbs thrust trolling motor (Canadian tires trolling motor brand).

Rough idea what's a fair price?

I had a very very similar set up. Motor was a 15hp. Had it listed for $2500 and sold it for $2200.

I'd be selling the fish-finder, electric trolling mtr and battery seperately and selling the rest for $2200-$2400. Can always come down a couple of hundred. I'm guessing a fuel tank & hose is included. This is the time of year to be selling.

Ya fuel tank and line included.. which reminds me, the only thing the boat needs is a new fuel hose. The primer bulb on the old one is starting to crack.

I think I'll list everything for 2300$

thanks!

Replace the hose even if it is not yet leaking as they are cheap. Something like this that shows obvious need of attention might give a prospective buyer the impression that overall maintenance has been lacking.

I would replace hose, then boat is in "perfect condition" and list it for$2500:thinking-006: Albertans like round numbers and it lets you give a potential byer "and offer he can't refuse" Like maybe $2300:)

lmao on this stuff, what I say if you really want to sell it, ask for what you will be happy with and never mind what you think it is worth or think you can get for it. I know its nice to mae good coin on stuff, but no good when you need to show to 10 guys and still for sale....just my 2 cents, good luck and also pics tells you lots also........

Firstly, I've gotten a few pm's about the boat. I really came asking for a price to offer it to an aquantince who expressed interested in it a year ago when I knew I was buying a bigger boat. So I said I would offer it to him for a fair price before selling else where. So pm's will be returned if he declines.

Secondly, the hose will be replaced before I sell.

Thanks for the input.

Did you find out what brand of boat it is yet? Could make a difference on your asking price.
