Spray Lake Help Please

Hi Guys
I'm thinking about heading out to Spray lakes this weekend, and I was wondering if someone could tell me how far south the boat launch is from Canmore? Also if anybody has any reports on how the fishing has been lately and any tips/hints would be appreciated.

I havent been from the Canmore end for years but it cant be more than 40 min. to the launch from there.Dont bother fishing around the campground.Its quite shallow and I've never caught fish in that area.It can get pretty windy up there too.It gets a lot deeper once you turn the corner of the lake,you'll see the corner in the lake.Most fish are in deeper water.I usually mark them on the fish finder and either drop a smelt down and just drift and jig or a black jig head head and white twister tails and jig for them.Also get the occasional fish on silver/blue len thompson.Not many big fish from my experiences there but the scenery can sure make up for a slow day.Hope ya have fun.
