Thought I'd start a thread for anyones sturgeon pics.

Here is our first sturgeon of the new fishing season. It was back in the water after only a quick picture or two....no weight or measurement.....just a guess at 40" and 25lbs.

Picked up 9 yesterday north of LLoyd in 4 hours. First and biggest was 50 inches but the other 8 were 12-24 inches. Taking the kids on Saturday , so may get some pics. Tough getting pics by yourself.

Slower day with the kids but did pick up 8 total in 4.5 hours. Two were around 40 inches but my middle daughter got one about 48 inches. On the first jump it got tailwrapped and would only swin one direction , away ! Oldest daughter took a 10 minute video on her Ipod , needs to be editted to blur out the plumbers crack ! I will post a pick as soon as they get put on the computer.

9 one day 8 now...very nice fishing.....looking forward to seeing a few pics.
You seem to have them figured out.

Out of curiosity......are you moving around a fair bit or working a good spot or two? And can you determine if your re-catching some?

Unfortunately they have caught so many over the last few years they don't understand how special they are. Took me almost 15 years to get my first one , now its almost a sure thing. Love them !

The video of my daughter is 10 minutes long. First jump the fish tail wrapped and she couldn't get his head. The drag on the old Abu Eon has seen more than its share of sturgeon , and better days. Time to upgrade.
