I have 3 friends coming out here at the beginning of august.
they do not flyfish and will be using lures, spinners, spoons etc...
my question is what types of spinners, spoons etc....should they use at
upper and lower. or are these lakes tough to fish at this time of year.
and yes we will be shore fishing, no boat.

any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Putzer, I was out there in a boat about a month ago. We didn't catch anything but it didn't matter.

I have since heard that trolling Wollybuggers works good also....

Good luck, and I really hope that everything works out for ya. Either way, it's an amazing little piece of the world to be in. If you have the time, take a hike up Indefatiguable. The trailhead is at the dam seperating the two lakes. You can get to the mid-way lookout in about an hour. It's worth it.

thanks Treeguy. k lakes sounds tough to fish.
oh well, I'm certain the scenery will take care of the lack of fish, if that's the case and I will try my best to coax the boys from ontario to try that hike.
I do believe we will hike up to rawson lake. from what I've read it takes about an hour and a half. can't wait, leave in 6 days for a week.
