Hello,

I hate to admit I am horrible with maps and stuff! I have read my fishing regulations book over and over and just get more confused. Can someone give me a few tips on where I can fish now in Calgary and around Calgary (June 12th 2013) I live in NW Calgary and love to fish the Bow (when I know it's open) I am also looking for a few easy to drive to fishing holes close to the city where I can take my daughter.

Thanks a bunch in advance for any info/tips. Happy Fishing.

Here are four short trips from NW for shore fishing where you will actually catch fish!

Dewitts Pond, just west of Airdrie.
Crossfield Ponds, on the west side of Crossfield.
Sibald lake , west of Calgary.
Winchell Lake, NW of Cochrane.

A little further, lots of small lakes in the Sundre and Caroline areas.

Lots of trout ponds within an hour of cow town hillards east of olds, midway east of didsbury. A little further is dickson pond and after the 15th may the lower red deer. 50 min east of olds will get you to tolman bridge with scads of willing gold eye with the odd good walleye. Good luck tight lines. Pm if you require more spots or techniques to help you on your way.
