I found a decent 4 piece Fenwick Highlander rod at CT a couple years back that I use the odd time I need something packable. I usually throw my Shimano Saros on it.

I have a 5pc shimano beast master that I use all the time.
I think it has been replaced by the Exsage model which comes as pieces or telescoping.
almost 5 years and tons and tons of fish on the beast master and several countries.
trolling, casting and fairly light action with decent back bone.
def worth the $90 it cost

I've got a 4 pc Rapala Magnum in fast and a 4 pc Ugly Stick in medium action. Quite happy with both.
I assume you are talking spin gear.

Used to have the old school yellow eagle claw combo. It was from the 70's and I broke it at the handle on a 100lb + sting ray a few years ago on the Tasman Sea.
You could find a beast master online or exsage in stores.
Durable and versatile.
The beast master has the 2nd pc interchangle so you take it down from about 7.5' to 6.5'.
