A little too wet for my liking & tired of hearing the sump pump come on every 15min..... so I thought I would do a little work in the garage.

I'm tired of always having to pull out the old 65lb 12 volt battery every time it needs a charge. So a little research and a quick trip to the local UAP and I think I'm in business.

I installed a couple pass through terminals which basically moves the battery terminals outside of the storage area. Now it's as simple as popping of the caps and hooking up the charger. All can be done without even getting into the boat.

Since i was feeling like an apprentice marine electronics technician, I decided to wire in the minkota plug-in for the trolling mill & 12V plug-in for the coming Elite 4 DSI.

Since I haven't posted pics lately I thought I would through in a couple hard water pics from our last day out on March 30.

That boat is set up perfect - all you need now is a coffee pot to plug in .....

Nicely done! What model of boat is it, never seen an aluminum with a layout like that? Quite a beefed up transom on there as well.

Good idea moving battery terminals outside box. I faced the same issue before but I just bought a 3 bank on board charger so now I just reach in under the cover to find the plug. Plug it in and all 3 batteries charge separately.

Thanks for the comments,

Fish Gunner, yeah it was a good day eh! Have you been there on the open yet?

Mayhem, it is a Mirrocraft - Laker series. So far so good. They have been building boats for 50years or so.

JohninAB - that's the OCD in me. lol We have to hook-up at Wab one day
