Thinking about doing a peace river trip. Is the river doable with a 17 foot alum with a outboard, not jet.. ?

stay away from the rocks. have you run the athabasca river with the same boat if so you'll be fine

Where and how far ya going? There was a thread a while back on a peace river trip, if u do a search it should pop up. Watch for sand bars.....

If you plan on fishing then i suggest wait till fall when its clear... Its very silty with low visibility most of the time untill the summer wears on.

Be careful, run with a sonar and GPS. I guide moose hunters north of GP right on the peace. We run with outboards all the time. The water levels can fluctuate a couple feet. Watch for the islands as one side is usually not motor friendly.

Lots of good size boats and motors on the peace , depends where your going.
