Went out this afternoon to fish at Herm, high water the bank was very small and the current was too strong for just average pickerel rigging. Jigging and fishing weightless bait rigs was working out great in the outfall though caught a sucker and a walleye. Slow but maybe the sturgeon might start coming out because of this.

Went out at 6 today. Water was really low when I got there. Rose probably 18"-24" by the time I left at 5 pm.

We were on the South side near Herm- water started rising so we left and went to the other side. When we got there, we noticed the water level was up almost 4 ft.

That's nuts. I am thinking of trying this evening or tomorrow evening before the wife gets back into town. Hopefully the driftwood and debris slows down and the dinos keep active! Enough rain today and might even get the day off tomorrow.

It was the same yesterday afternoon as well. One minute fishing from shore and all is fine and then look down and your feet are getting wet. What the heck.

I was out last night just before the huge downpour. So much debris and the mosquitos seemed extra bad.

They probably opened the dam.

Went this evening and it was like chocolate milk, extremely high as well. I'd stick to the lakes for a fair bit.

Sweet the n s r water level is very high. Cannot wait to fish the n s r within the next couple days. Best time for huge walleye and plenty of them :)
